Today we are in Tanger. I am typing on a French keyboard with only 5 minutes left on my internet time, so I apologize for typos in advance.
The day began with a cruise ride. A few Orchies (including myself) do not have adequate sea legs though. Once in Tanger, we took a quick bus ride to see some of the city and then from there we went to lunch at a place with live music. It was roudy and loud with good food. We were all facinate by everything from the carpets hung on the walls to the ornate stained glass lights.
After lunch came the walking tour where the rugs came out. Yes... rugs; Our tour took us to a place where people tried to sell us rugs and many bought beautiful, ornate rugs. Please ask about this experience for a more indepth tale (my time draws near the end).
Then came the haggling for prices with vendors in crowded streets. Many of us bought neat keepsakes here.
Well, my time is up. I hope that is at least something for parents checking this blog every 30 minutes. And, yes, your son or daughter is safe in Africa. Rich is protecting us.
